Pharmacist and Master in Sciences, has been working for more than 29 years in laboratories management at the University of Minho.
She got a management course, that will be an added value in this project. She worked as coordinator of the Spectrometry Laboratory, being responsible for the analysis of heavy metals in various matrices (water, geological materials: rocks, sediments, soils, zeolites and biological materials: bacterial fungi, plasma, plants) by Emission-Plasma Spectrometry (ICP) and Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS).
She coordinates the Department of Biology's research laboratories. She organizes the laboratory work, improves the quality system and teaches analytical methods, the use of different equipment and provides training to students and young researchers.
She is responsible for following up on Microscopy and Cytometry techniques. Level of Responsibility: Laboratory Management, Training Management, Quality Control, Quality Assurance.
